Before court action
Reviewing the agreement, invoices, payment history and any defence; preparing a letter before claim under the applicable pre-action rules; and considering negotiation, repayment proposals or mediation before issuing proceedings.
County Court & High Court proceedings
Claim forms, particulars of claim, defences, counterclaims, default or summary judgment where appropriate, witness statements and hearing preparation. We explain court jurisdiction, claim value, allocation, fees, interest and costs risks. Issuing, filing, service and management of litigation can be undertaken by an appropriately authorised solicitor, subject to acceptance and written terms.
After judgment
A judgment does not automatically produce payment. Guidance covers instalment arrangements, applications to vary or set aside a judgment where grounds exist, and selecting an enforcement method based on the debtor’s income, assets and circumstances.
