Professional Status & Service Responsibilities
AJW Legal Consultancy is not a solicitors’ firm and is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). AJW provides unreserved legal advice and support and has access to SRA-regulated solicitors for court applications, litigation and other reserved work through appropriately authorised arrangements. Having a regulated solicitor involved does not authorise AJW itself to conduct reserved legal activities. Before reserved work begins, the responsible authorised professional or practice must accept the instruction and confirm their scope, fees and regulatory protections in writing.
The protections associated with instructing an SRA-regulated firm do not automatically apply to AJW’s consultancy work. Ask about your adviser’s status, insurance and complaints arrangements before agreeing to work. Court deadlines remain your responsibility unless an authorised representative has expressly agreed otherwise.
